A desperate search is underway after a light plane crashed into shallow waters just off the coast of South Australia.
Rescue workers are looking for survivors in the waters near Murray Mouth, at Goolwa South, south of Adelaide, after the plane crashed at 4.30pm on Friday.
Emergency services remain on the scene with the help of a police helicopter which is now hovering above the ocean.
Other Sea Rescue and three Country Fire Service members are also helping with the rescue efforts.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is aware of the crash and is gathering information, reports the ABC.
A recovery team will be deployed in the area soon.
