Russian President Vladimir Putin recently issued a stark warning to European nations, stating that if Europe were to start a war with Russia, Moscow would be ready for battle, per Reuters.
Putin emphasized that any such conflict would end so swiftly for Europe that there would be no one left to negotiate a peace deal.
“If Europe suddenly wants to start a war with us and starts it,” Putin said, “then it would end so swiftly for Europe that Russia would have no one left to negotiate with.”
This statement comes as Russia continues its ongoing war with Ukraine, which began in February 2022, has resulted in one of the deadliest conflicts in Europe since World War II.
