Price shares joint custody of Junior and Princess with Andre, as well as being the mum to Harvey, 23, Jett, 11, and Bunny, 10.
Princess recently insisted that she doesn’t have an issue with her mum, who has been vocal about her struggles with mental health and drug use over the years.
“What I would usually do, as I’ve done my whole life, would be to spend the morning with one parent and the evening with the other,” Princess told the Daily Mail about her recent 18th birthday party, which Price didn’t attend.
“As it happened, mum ended up being away, and dad had already decided to throw me a last minute birthday party, which we filmed for the show.”
Over on her reality show, however, Princess admitted that she struggled watching her mother fall into a ‘dark’ place following her 2018 split from third husband, Kieran Hayler.
“She [Katie] is so unpredictable and she lives life and doesn’t care,” she said. “I love that, I’d love that mind set of I don’t care because deep down I do, I’ll get to bed and cry about it.”
Princess – who has a counsellor – explained: “I wish I could have had a happier childhood, I had so much on my plate at such a young age and had things at the back of my mind.
“My mum and Kieran split up when I was 10 years old, we were close to him. He was in our lives for five years. He did a lot of stuff and when they split everything went downhill.”
Princess said that she now speaks with Price ‘a lot’ after her breakdown.
“Mum was heartbroken and she went through a dark time and it was things kids shouldn’t see and when we needed our mum there, she wasn’t there because she had her own problems,” she said.
“I’m not healed or fully recovered from it but mum has fixed herself compared to how she was back then.”
“She spoke to me about it and she apologised and I never wanted an apology but it was a lot that she acknowledged it and she realised she needed to prioritise us, we now talk a lot and she is now my best friend.”
