It was actress Nadia Farès, aged 57. She was found unconscious in the pool of an elite Paris gym on April 11. After the incident, she was urgently taken to Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, where doctors placed her in a medically induced coma. Sadly, a few days later, she died from cardiac arrest.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the actress had been swimming laps when she lost consciousness. Her body was found at the bottom of the pool in an unusual position, which immediately raised concern. Another swimmer rushed to help and began performing CPR even before emergency services arrived.
Despite all efforts by doctors, she could not be saved. Her daughters, Cylia and Shana Chasman, confirmed the heartbreaking news, saying that while France had lost a great artist, for them it was, above all, the loss of their mother.
Nadia Farès left a significant mark on the film industry. She rose to international fame after her role in The Crimson Rivers in 2001 and also appeared in popular series such as Netflix’s Marseille. Her career spanned decades, and she was known for her charisma and strong presence.
Her life had not been without challenges. In 2007, she underwent brain surgery for an aneurysm and later endured several heart operations over the years. Despite this, she continued working and planning new creative projects.
Recently, Farès had returned to France after living in the United States and was preparing for a new chapter — her directorial debut. She had been working on an action comedy with Studios TF1 and was excited about bringing it to life.
