Social media users question president’s absence
Concern began building after journalist Aaron Rupar highlighted on X that Trump had not appeared in public for nearly a week.
Some users claimed they had noticed a recurring pattern in the president’s schedule.
“Call me old-fashioned, but I think it should be a bigger story that we haven’t seen the President of the United States on live TV in nearly a week. This happens at the beginning of every single month…,” one person wrote on X.
“I didn’t notice a possible pattern until someone pointed it out. It’s the first of the month. He seems to disappear around this time,” added another.
Others also weighed in on the discussion.
“I know we’re all a little weary of ‘dementia Twitter,’ but it does seem odd that a president who lives on camera just doesn’t do any public appearances about once a month for almost a week.”
Walter Reed visit fuels online theories
Interest in Trump’s whereabouts intensified after reports revealed he spent several hours at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center the day before his May 27 Cabinet meeting.
The visit was reportedly his third trip to the facility within the past 12 months and came before Dr. Oz’s widely discussed health announcement during a White House briefing.
The development led to further speculation online, particularly regarding recurring discussions about bruising visible on Trump’s hands.
“It’s the first of the month, time for his monthly treatments. Expect to see large bruises on his hands and open sores on other parts of his body in the next few days,” one user remarked.
Another person claimed: “They are lying to us about Donald Trump’s health.”
Meanwhile, a third observer noted: “Six days between public appearances feels like a long time for a president. Wonder if something is up or if this is just how his schedule works now.”
Medical report draws mixed reactions
Despite the speculation, Trump said last week that a recent six-month medical examination at Walter Reed found that “everything checked out PERFECTLY.”
The White House later released the results of his third official medical assessment since returning to office. In a memorandum published on Friday, US Navy Captain Sean Barbabella wrote that the president “remains in excellent health” and possesses “strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function.”
However, some medical professionals expressed doubts about the findings.
“That report is almost too good to be true for somebody of his age,” Texas vascular surgeon William Shutze told The Wall Street Journal. “This seems to be a filtered narrative.”
