Following the announcement, Wilson reportedly changed the description on his Instagram profile. Instead of referencing his long association with Slipknot, he added the years “1997–2026,” which many fans interpreted as a clear sign that an era had officially ended.
His departure marks another major change in Slipknot’s lineup. Over the years, the band has already seen the exits of Chris Fehn and Craig Jones, while the deaths of Paul Gray and Joey Jordison permanently changed the group’s history.
