A masturbation method which ‘doesn’t require much movement’ while promising to provide peak pleasure has been taking people by storm.
It’s known as syntribation and according to sex experts, this technique is perhaps one of the easiest ways for women to get their rocks off.
You don’t need any scary-looking sex toys or intimacy enhancers to take part, while you don’t have to over exert yourself either – so for a lot of ladies, it’s become their go-to.
The premise of syntribation is simple – all you have to do is squeeze your thighs together.
It sounds almost too straightforward to those who haven’t given it a whirl before, but apparently, it can be ‘more relaxing’ and ‘erotic’ than most run-of-the-mill approaches to achieving an orgasm.
Detailing exactly what the masturbation technique is, sex therapist Ness Cooper told Metro that it involves ‘an individual with a vagina squeezing their thighs together, allowing the pressure of the two legs squashing together to give pleasurable sensations that lead to orgasm’.
She reckons that tons of women try it at ‘some point’ in their lives, especially ‘during the early stages of sexual discovery’.
Another added benefit of syntribation is that you can do it quite subtly – so it offers those who might not have the luxury of privacy ‘a discreet way to explore masturbation’, Cooper said.
The psychotherapist, couples counsellor and clinical sexologist then explained exactly how you can give it a go yourself.
“This can be done lying down, either on your back or side,” Cooper continued. “Some people report being able to perform it whilst standing or sitting.
“Some vary the pressure by crossing their legs together which can add more stimulation to the vulva and clitoris,” she explained.
“It’s hands free and doesn’t require much movement. The method can stimulate both the external and internal parts of the clitoris through applying pressure of the thighs together.
“With the thighs rubbing together it can also stimulate nerves that are in the legs which are also linked to the genitals, adding more erotic awareness and making it easier to stimulate the clitoris to orgasm.”
As you don’t need to get your hands dirty when trialling syntribation, it makes it a good technique for those who may struggle with mobility or arthritis in their hands and wrists.
Cooper claims that it can also help women with pelvic floor issues enjoy pleasure, as using this method make make ‘it easier to orgasm’.
Revealing the reasoning behind this, the sexpert said: “It can activate the pelvic floor differently to other masturbation positions, allowing for extra blood flow to the area.
“Activating the pelvic floor during syntribation may intensify the sensations felt during masturbation too.”
Fellow sex therapist Kimberly Thomas also vouched for syntribation, while revealing women can ‘rock or grind’ their bodies while doing it to make the experience even more intense.
Speaking to Women’s Health earlier this year, she revealed that although it’s favoured by women, men can give it a blast too.
“Penis owners are able to achieve pleasure by tucking their penis between their thighs and squeezing the glans or head of the penis for stimulation,” Thomas told the publication.
