Authorities Issue Update On ICE Shooter As More Devastating Details Emerge

Authorities have issued a bombshell update on the ICE agent who shot a 37-year-old US citizen in Minneapolis, as more devastating details have emerged.

The fatal shooting occurred on Wednesday morning (January 7), when numerous immigration officers were present following deployment by the Trump administration.

The White House deployed a total of 2,000 federal agents to the areas surrounding Minneapolis in recent weeks, as part of a nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration in America.

The program has already led to thousands of arrests across the country, and is said to be being used by officials as a strategy to address rising crime rates.

What do we know about the Minneapolis shooting?

Despite President Donald Trump reiterating the good ICE agents are doing across the US, the Minneapolis mayor, Jacob Frey, firmly disagrees.

Following the tragic event that unfolded earlier in the week, the mayor said: “They’re ripping families apart, they’re sowing chaos in our streets.”

He added that the ICE agent involved in the shooting ‘recklessly used his power, which resulted in somebody dying.’

The victim, who was fatally shot by the ICE agent, has since been identified as mother-of-three, Renee Nicole Good, 37.

Footage of the tragic event has since circulated on social media.

Clips show a number of immigration officers approach the mom’s SUV, which appeared to be positioned in the middle of the street.

As one officer tried to open her car door, she put the car into reverse, and attempted to drive away from the chaos.

But as she attempted to do so, one ICE agent pointed his gun directly at the driver, and at least two shots were fired.

Following the fatal gun shots, the vehicle lost control, and could be seen crashing into a parked car shortly further down the street.

ICE agent is identified

Details surrounding the ICE agent who killed Good have since emerged, and he has been identified as veteran deportation officer, Jonathan Ross.

Ross previously testified that he has had duties as a firearms trainer, and formerly led teams drawn from multiple federal agencies, including the FBI.

JD Vance also spoke out about the agent following the shooting.

He described Good’s death as ‘a tragedy of her own making.’

Speaking at the White House briefing, the Vice President added: “She was trying to ram this guy with her car.”

Details about the ICE agent emerge

It’s been reported that Ross’s experience includes more than 10 years as an ICE Deportation Officer, and was selected to be part of their Special Response Team, which requires 30 hours of tryouts.

He also has numerous specialized skills, which include breaching techniques, perimeter control, advanced firearms training, hostage rescue, and more.

And it’s not the first time Ross has been involved in an incident where he has allegedly been injured by a car.

In June last year, Ross was injured by a car as he attempted to detain Roberto Carlos Munoz-Guatemala, a Mexican man with a criminal record.

Speaking with The Daily Telegraph, Good’s former father-in-law described Wednesday’s incident as a ‘murder.’

He said: “It is horrible, it’s murder. Everybody is terribly shocked right now.

“She was a good, outgoing person. I didn’t agree with a lot of her ways, but it’s really sad to see these things happen.”
