Representatives for the singer later confirmed that the unexpected interruption was caused by a severe sinus infection that had worsened in the days leading up to the performance. Despite feeling unwell, Bon Jovi had gone on stage and managed to perform most of the planned set before realizing he could no longer continue.
One of the most memorable moments of the evening came when Bon Jovi performed the classic hit Livin’ on a Prayer alongside Train frontman Pat Monahan. It was shortly after that performance that the singer admitted he was no longer able to continue and reluctantly ended the concert early.
The news surprised many fans because Bon Jovi had only recently spoken about making a full recovery following the complex vocal cord surgery he underwent in 2022.
