Now, Depp‘s reported romance has once again sparked debate online, with social media users comparing her to one of his most famous exes while also questioning the pair’s sizeable age gap.
Johnny Depp’s high-profile relationships
Before his latest reported romance, Depp shared one of his longest relationships with French singer, actress and model Vanessa Paradis.
The couple were together from 1998 until 2012 and welcomed two children, Lily-Rose and Jack. Despite separating after 14 years together, the pair have largely remained on good terms and kept much of their family life private.
His relationship with actress Amber Heard proved far more public.
The pair first met while filming The Rum Diary in 2009 before marrying in 2015.
Just over a year later, Heard filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, before later obtaining a temporary restraining order.
Their legal battle culminated in one of the most closely watched celebrity trials in recent history.
In 2022, a Virginia jury largely found in Depp’s favor in his defamation lawsuit over Heard’s 2018 Washington Post opinion piece, concluding that the article had defamed him despite not mentioning him by name.
The trial dominated headlines around the world and permanently changed public perceptions of both stars.
Fans can’t stop making the same comparisons
While many fans wished Depp well, others immediately noticed what they believed was an uncanny resemblance between Depp’s new partner and Amber Heard.Online commenters pointed to similarities including blonde hair, facial features and overall appearance.
One person wrote: “Looks like an Amber Heard replica.”
Another commented: “In some pics, she reminds me a bit of Amber Heard…”
A third added: “She has the same type of look.”
The comparisons quickly spread across social media, with countless users sharing side-by-side photos of the two women.
Whether or not the resemblance is genuine remains entirely subjective, but it quickly became one of the biggest talking points surrounding the reported romance.
The age gap also divided opinion
The second issue that generated discussion was the couple’s age difference.
Depp was born in 1963, while reports place Vlasova in her late twenties when they were first linked publicly, creating an age gap of more than three decades.
Some fans argued that the difference in age was irrelevant so long as both were consenting adults.
Others were far more critical.
One person commented: “Johnny should find someone his own age, not another younger woman like Amber Heard.”
Another wrote: “I think you’re a great actor, but seriously that woman is young enough to be your daughter! Come on!”
Others defended the actor, arguing that age-gap relationships between adults are ultimately a private matter.
As with many celebrity romances, opinions online quickly became divided.
Who is Johnny Depp dating?
In 2024, reports emerged linking Depp to Russian model and beautician Yulia Vlasova.
Vlasova is based in Prague, where she owns a makeup and hairstyling studio, and reportedly first met the actor during the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2021.
According to multiple reports, the pair have been seeing each other on and off for several years after initially becoming friends. Sources have consistently described the relationship as casual rather than serious, with insiders saying they do not even use ‘boyfriend and girlfriend’ labels.
The pair have been photographed together in both Prague and London over the past few years, although neither Depp nor Vlasova has publicly confirmed the exact nature of their relationship.
Speculation intensified after Vlasova shared social media posts featuring the actor, prompting engagement rumors. However, sources close to Depp denied they were engaged and reiterated that the relationship was casual.
Where things stand now
Despite continued speculation, Depp has remained largely private about his personal life since his highly publicized legal battles.
Reports throughout 2025 and into 2026 have continued to describe his connection with Vlasova as low-key and casual, with neither party publicly announcing an engagement or marriage. While rumors have occasionally surfaced online, no mainstream outlet has independently confirmed that the pair have taken their relationship any further.
For now, Depp appears focused on balancing his acting, music and artistic projects while keeping much of his personal life out of the public eye.
Even so, whenever he’s photographed alongside Vlasova, the same conversations continue to dominate social media, with fans debating her resemblance to Heard and the couple’s 30-plus-year age difference.
