Gabriella Laberge Wows on America’s Got Talent After Eurovision Run
French-Canadian singer and violinist Gabriella Laberge, known for her appearance on France’s Destination Eurovision in 2019, recently stunned judges and viewers on America’s Got Talent.
In a pre-show interview, Gabriella called the AGT audition “the opportunity of my life” to pursue her dream of making music full-time.
She began her audition with a soft violin solo. While judges Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Heidi Klum were visibly moved, Simon Cowell seemed unimpressed and hovered over the red buzzer—until Gabriella transitioned into a powerful vocal performance of James Blunt’s “Goodbye My Lover.” Her voice immediately captured Cowell’s attention, prompting him to pull back.
The performance ended with a standing ovation from all four judges, who unanimously sent her to the next round.
Gabriella appeared in episode eight, the final audition of the season. With over 150 acts having advanced, only 36 will move on to the live shows—leaving fans eager to see if Gabriella makes the cut after a brief hiatus.
Back in 2019, she competed in Destination Eurovision with her song “On cherche encore (Never Get Enough),” which gained a strong fanbase. However, she was eliminated in the semi-finals, with Bilal Hassani ultimately winning the contest.
