During Pope Francis’ funeral at St Peter’s Square, Melania Trump was spotted advising Donald Trump to participate in the ‘sign of peace’ ritual, where attendees shake hands. Lip reading expert Nicola Hickling claimed Melania told Trump, “You should go do it,” before he reluctantly complied, shaking hands with leaders including Emmanuel Macron.

Trump had already faced criticism for wearing a blue suit instead of traditional black, seen as disrespectful at a funeral. Additionally, he was slammed for making political comments before leaving Washington, saying the funeral would be a chance to meet foreign leaders and discuss trade deals.
