A major British political figure is celebrating the arrival of a brand new family member.

His wife shared the joyful news in a heartfelt post, alongside sweet hospital photos. The couple had kept the baby’s gender a surprise — dressing the newborn in neutral colors just in case.

The first images, now spreading quickly online, show the proud father cradling the baby in his arms. The little one was welcomed home by older siblings, with one sister especially thrilled that her long-held wish finally came true.

But what really had people guessing was the name — which the couple kept secret until nearly the very end. And finally, Carrie Johnson revealed that the baby girl is named Poppy Eliza Josephine Johnson.

In her post, Carrie wrote: “I can’t believe how tiny and pretty you are. I haven’t slept since you were born — I just keep staring at how lovely you are. We’re all totally smitten.”

Poppy is the youngest sibling to Wilfred, Romy, and Frank, born in 2020, 2021, and 2023 respectively. Romy, in particular, was overjoyed, as she had been hoping for a little sister — and now she’s ready for matching dresses.

The name Josephine was chosen in honor of Carrie’s mother, and the baby already has a couple of adorable nicknames: “Pops” and “Pop Tart.”

Carrie hinted this may be their final child, affectionately calling her “the final gang member.”
