The victim was soon identified as Sara Burack, star of Netflix’s Million Dollar Beach House and a respected real estate broker in both New York City and the Hamptons. Authorities say she had been struck in a hit-and-run, and the driver has yet to be located.
Sara, 40, gained public attention for her sharp instincts and charisma on the reality show that showcased luxury homes and cutthroat deals. Off-screen, she was admired for her tireless philanthropy and work with cancer charities and animal rescue groups.
She had a promising future ahead. Friends, family, and colleagues—many of whom had seen her just hours before—are devastated. “She was the most hardworking person you’ll ever meet,” said longtime friend and fellow agent Paulette Corsair.
