After find out about Kirk’s death last Wednesday (September 10), Pratt took to X, formerly Twitter, to say: “Praying for Charlie Kirk right now, for his wife and young children, for our country. We need God’s grace. God help us.”
This caused a reaction on social media, with some users calling from Pratt to be fired from his job.

And another added: “Oh now you wanna say something like there hasn’t been anything worse happening in the world rn.”
Pratt has since posted to social media again, this time Instagram, appearing in a video where he said: “Hey guys, just stop real quick and pray with me.”
In the clip, the actor proceeded to recite a prayer before going on to say: “Okay, now you can continue scrolling or you can turn your phone off and go outside, might I suggest the latter?
“Go get some sunshine, go look at a tree, touch some grass, call a friend.
“If you’ve got time to be on your phone right now, you’ve got time to do your to-do list and you’ve got time to reach out to somebody in need and share this prayer with them. Amen.”
This video prompted many people to take to the Instagram comment section to share their own reactions to the post, with one user writing: “Bro just lost all his deals with hollywood.”
Another said: “Absolutely useless video.”
A third person commented: “Its crazy you think praying for what that man stood for is crazy. God cant help his sins now. Too late.”
And a fourth added: “After every that happened last week… The internet needed this.”
