On the night of October 27, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale shook the ground in a European country.
The tremors were so strong that they were felt by residents of the two largest cities in this state, causing panic among the population.
The country’s authorities immediately activated all emergency rescue services. Ministers of the relevant departments have already expressed support for the victims and stated that the teams are working at the scene. Despite this, preliminary data indicates no serious consequences.
The incident took place in Turkey, in the city of Sındırgı, Balıkesir province. The epicenter of the tremors was at a depth of about 6 km. The region also experienced a series of aftershocks, the strongest of which reached a magnitude of 4.2.
