ARAB, Ala. (WAFF/Gray News) – An Alabama 2-year-old who was found floating in a pool earlier this month has died.
Violet Satterfield’s mother, Rebekah Satterfield, announced the news on Facebook on Monday.
“We only had two years with you, but they were filled with the happiest moments of my life,” the post read. “I will carry you with me in my veins until the day I see you again, my love.”
Satterfield said Violet’s organs were donated. According to Alabama’s Legacy of Hope, she is able to save up to eight lives.
Violet’s mother said they have not made funeral plans yet, but when they do, they ask everyone who attends to wear purple.
“Wear purple for my baby while we celebrate her short life,” she said in the Facebook post.
