8/29/23, I died. I have been newly diagnosed breast cancer. I was having a mastectomy and sentinel node removal. Less than 45 minutes into the surgery, I flatlined. My surgeon spent 10 minutes doing CPR. I was in ICU, intubated and unconscious for 2 days, I was in ICU from Tues thru late Friday night.

The surgeon told my daughters that there could be brain damage. My brain is fine. Unfortunately, no cancer was removed. I had a cardiac cath while still in ICU and it was good, so they feel
It’s a rhythm issue. I see my cardiologist next week and my oncologist for a new game plan.

When became conscious, I had no concept of time, I thought I was in recovery from the mastectomy.
