Popular beer urgently recalled over MAJOR safety concerns

Shoppers across several Australian states have been caught off guard after a widely sold alcoholic product was suddenly removed from shelves, sparking concern among customers who may already have it stored at home. Authorities warn that the issue is not minor — in certain conditions, the product could pose a real physical danger.

What makes the situation especially alarming is that the risk isn’t immediately visible. From the outside, everything may appear normal. But experts say internal pressure can build up without warning, potentially turning an everyday item into a serious hazard. In extreme cases, this pressure could lead to leaks, ruptures, or even violent explosions.

Health officials are urging people to be extremely cautious. Opening or consuming the product could result not only in injury, but also unexpected health effects. Changes in alcohol content and taste have also been reported in similar cases, raising the risk of illness for unsuspecting consumers.

The product in question is a 5-litre Party Keg of Pacific Ale produced by Loophole Brewing Co. The recall affects kegs sold through Costco stores in New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, and Western Australia. The issue stems from a possible secondary fermentation, which allows pressure to build dangerously inside the keg.

Consumers have been clearly instructed not to drink or open the affected product and to dispose of it safely. Impacted batches are marked with the following dates: Pkd 13/10/25 BB 13/10/26 and Pkd 15/10/25 BB 15/10/26. Customers are advised to contact the brewery directly for disposal instructions and reimbursement, and anyone experiencing health concerns should seek medical advice immediately.
