A passenger plane has crashed: all 15 passengers were killed, including politicians.

On Wednesday, a short passenger flight ended in tragedy just minutes after takeoff. The aircraft suddenly lost contact with air traffic control without sending any distress signal. For flight controllers, this was the first alarming sign that something had gone terribly wrong.

There were 15 people on board. None survived. Search and rescue teams were immediately placed on high alert after communication was lost, but the operation was complicated by the fact that the aircraft’s emergency beacon never activated. For some time, the exact crash location remained unknown.

The situation drew even wider attention after the passenger list was released. Among the victims were a serving local lawmaker and members of his team, as well as a politician preparing to run in upcoming parliamentary elections. The news spread rapidly, sending shockwaves far beyond the aviation community.

It was later officially confirmed that the crash occurred in northeastern Colombia. The plane was operating a domestic flight and disappeared from radar approximately 12 minutes after takeoff. The area where the wreckage was found is known for its rugged, mountainous terrain.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. Airline representatives said a full investigation is underway, with experts examining all possible scenarios — from technical failure to external factors. For the families of the victims, answers cannot come soon enough, as the tragedy remains unexplained.
