Donald Trump is accused of breaking the dress code at Pope Francis’ funeral

Donald Trump faced backlash after arriving at Pope Francis’ funeral in a blue suit and tie, violating the strict Vatican dress code, which required men to wear dark suits, black ties, and white shirts. Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Joe Biden also wore blue ties, drawing accusations of “disrespect” as most world leaders wore traditional black.

Sitting in the front row, Trump stood out with his mid-blue outfit and American flag pin, while Melania wore a black coat, lace veil, and gloves. Hundreds of thousands attended the funeral, honoring the Pope’s legacy of openness and compassion.

The clothing controversy echoes earlier criticism of Zelenskyy for not wearing a suit during a White House visit, a move that reportedly irritated Trump. Many observers slammed Trump’s choice of attire, saying he “stuck out like a sore thumb” and lacked appropriateness for the solemn occasion.
