The actor from Star Trek: Enterprise has died surrounded by family as tributes pour in.

“A Screen Legend Who Never Stopped — Even at 90 — Has Passed Away”

He was the embodiment of strength, dignity, and depth in the world of science fiction. His presence on screen was commanding, his voice unforgettable.

A man who never truly rested, even as he approached the limits of age, has left behind a legacy that’s hard to match.

We’re speaking of Peter-Henry Schroeder — the American actor known for portraying the Klingon Chancellor in Star Trek: Enterprise. He died at the age of 90 at the Lake City Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Florida, surrounded by family.

Even in his final days, Schroeder remained focused on his craft. According to his family, from his hospital bed he repeatedly asked, “When are you going to get me out of here? I need to get back to L.A. — I’ve got work to do!”

His life was a 70-year journey through film, television, theater, and music. After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he returned to the States and found his true calling in the performing arts. He collaborated with the likes of Meryl Streep and Alan Alda in The Seduction of Joe Tynan and made memorable appearances on hit shows like Cheers.

He founded PHS Productions to pursue his own creative projects and contributed to the Oscar-winning film Argo (2012). Fans of Star Trek will forever remember his role as the wise and commanding Klingon Chancellor, a character that resonated deeply within the franchise’s vast universe.

A military funeral will be held in Los Angeles, where Schroeder will be laid to rest at the VA National Cemetery with full honors. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to the Human Animal Life Foundation.

On his memorial page, Peter-Henry’s final words were shared: “I had a long and rich life, and I thank God for it.”

Though his physical voice is now silent, his performances and passion for art will continue to echo for generations.
