Major brand to shut down for good after 25 years – leaving customers reeling

They became a symbol of purity, gentleness, and ethical skincare. Their products could be found in bathrooms across the world — especially among those with sensitive skin.

But now, sadly, this brand’s story is coming to an end.

News of the company’s closure has left loyal fans heartbroken — especially those who have relied on these products for years. Social media erupted with emotional posts, and store shelves are quickly emptying out. So what happened to this once-beloved favorite?

The brand in question is Ren Clean Skincare, which will officially cease operations at the end of July. Founded in London in 2000, the brand quickly gained trust for its natural ingredients, free from sulfates and parabens, and for its philosophy of “clean” — both in formula and in values.

Ren was acquired by Unilever in 2015, but after a series of internal challenges and declining sales, it became clear that the brand could no longer be sustained long-term. While the full shutdown is scheduled for September 2025, online sales will end as early as July 31.

Currently, Ren is offering 30% off its entire range — though many items are already out of stock. And while the beauty industry remains highly profitable, it’s also brutally competitive. Even the most loved and eco-conscious brands aren’t immune to the pressures of the modern market.
