David Berray wasn’t someone who put life on hold. He always had a to-do list — everything from taking out the trash to climbing Mt. Fuji. With his wife Alison, he spent five years living in Hong Kong, rarely wasting a moment. They boated down the Mekong River, fished in Canton, and hiked through Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia. Even in New Zealand, with its 16-hour summer days, David would still ask, “What should we do next?”
And yet, for all his energy, he made time to be present. He stayed home when each of his children was born. He earned a master’s degree from MIT in technology management and, after over a decade in banking, became Chief Operating Officer of MoneyLine, an internet-based financial services company.
