FBI Questions Romantic Partner and Roommate of Charlie Kirk’s Suspected Assassin – Here’s What We Learned

Text messages between Tyler Robinson and his partner, identified as 22-year-old roommate Lance Twiggs, helped the FBI zero in on the suspected assassin.

Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin lived with a transgender partner, senior FBI officials confirmed. Investigators identified the partner as a male transitioning to female. The two were in a “romantic relationship” and roommates at an apartment in Saint George, Utah, about four hours from Utah Valley University, where Kirk was allegedly shot.

Officials confirmed that Robinson’s partner is working with investigators. One FBI source told Fox News Digital the individual “had no idea” of Robinson’s alleged plan to target the Turning Point USA founder. Authorities also noted that the partner is not facing any criminal allegations.

The FBI obtained text messages and other communications between Robinson, 22, and his partner. Agents said those exchanges helped them track down Robinson. Evidence collected from the apartment, including computers, has been sent to Quantico for review.

The FBI has not said whether charges could be filed against Robinson’s partner. A spokesperson said the Bureau is pursuing all leads and vowed that “every connection, every group, every link will be investigated.”

The apartment in Saint George is in the same community where Robinson’s parents live. Robinson’s partner has now been identified as 22-year-old Lance Twiggs.

A relative of Twiggs confirmed that the two were living together in a statement to The Post on Saturday, saying, “Yes, they were roommates.”

The relative described Twiggs as the “black sheep” of his St. George family, but declined to discuss whether he and Robinson were romantically involved. She said she did not know Twiggs’ political views or whether he was transitioning, though she added that such news would not surprise her.
