Scan the edges, corners, and dark areas, shapes and outlines should be your focus rather than colors. Have a good look at the cluttered places like the nightstand or the bookshelves since that’s usually where the biggest challenge lies.
For instance, the book might be among others of the same color, the egg might be next to something round, the cup could be right behind a lamp or a picture frame, and the pillow might be so blended with the headboard or bedding that it is hardly noticeable.
